Low emission zone (LEZ)
To improve air quality, the city center of Ghent is a low-emission zone (LEZ). Polluting vehicles that do not meet the entry requirements are not allowed to enter the zone.
Zone signs indicate where you enter or leave the LEZ. Smart cameras automatically check your car when you enter the zone. Anyone who enters the LEZ with a vehicle that is not allowed to enter will receive a penalty.
View the Ghent low-emission zone on a map (coloured zone). Type your destination address in the search bar or select a car park and check whether it (or the road to it) is in the LEZ. Click here!
