Sports hall
The official name of the sports hall is Sport Vlaanderen Ghent, but it is widely known as Top sports hall Ghent.

De Top sports hall is an extensive sports facility in the Belgian city Ghent.
It was built for the European Indoor Athletics Championships in 2000, for which Ghent was the host city.
The JKA Europe Cup was organized there on April 6, 2024, in the presence of 27 participating countries and more than 300 contestants.
Parking
There are several car parks on and around the Sport Vlaanderen Ghent site. Parking lots that will be available to the public are:
- Parking in front of the sports center (+/- 300 vehicles) = free
- Parking along the water (Zuiderlaan / Watersportbaan) = free
- Parking Flemish Cycling Center Eddy Merckx (Parking East) – 650 meters walking distance to the entrance of the sports center = paying during the summer months (= access to Blaarmeersen – provincial recreational area)
Attention:
During the summer it can be periodically busy due to the proximity of a busy provincial recreational area “De Blaarmeersen”, which is freely accessible to the public.
Recreational domain & nature reserve
Fancy a brisk walk? Would you like to do a water activity? Would you like to enjoy beautiful nature?
You can do all this in “De Blaarmeersen”:
- You can walk and enjoy nature
- You can play mini golf: 18 holes
- You can play tennis & squashen
- You can do a fitness meter: 8 stops with 2 exercises each
- You can do a low and/or high
- You can walk around either within the Blaarmeersen (varied environment and surface – trim track), or around the Watersportbaan (exactly 5 km), or the combination of both
- You can visit the largest open-air skate park in Belgium (+/- 4000 m²)
- You can practice all kinds of water sport there, including open-air swimming
