Overmeers nature park

The Overmeers nature park is located nearby. In this area of approximately 7 hectares, you will find wet and dry meadows, forest, and rugged patches of nature. It has been open as a nature and educational park since September 22, 2013. Here, you can fully enjoy the greenery and the beautiful water features.
At the center lies a large pond, featuring waterfowl and amphibians that feel at home there as eye-catchers. There is also an educational zone with a pool where you can view aquatic life up close. Various plants and animals feel at home in these many biotopes.
Here you can spot herons and ducks. We hope to welcome kingfishers to the steep bank of the pond. And in the summer, sheep help manage the meadows. Do not startle these animals and stay on the paths, especially during the breeding season (April – June).
